Wow?! 490 calories from just 1 Dunkin Donuts glazed doughnut! That’s a lot of calories for just one little pastry. Obviously, a lot of the high sugar content comes from being filled donut and glazing, so watch out for this combo if high sugar is what you’re trying to stay away from.
Shipley Donuts Apple Fritter
Now this one was a personal favorite as a kid growing up and probably why as a high school freshman I wore a size 42 waist pants and had sleep apnea lol that’s a story for another time!
Apple Fritters are among one of the most popular doughnuts for a good reason. They’re just too freaking good! But all that goodness comes at a price.
Take for instance Shipley Donuts Apple Fritter nutritional facts;

There’s definitely worst culprits on the list when it comes to the macro count, but just be sure not to eat 1 of these a day because this apple fritter won’t keep the doctor away.
Honey Dew Donuts
Honey Dew Butternut Donut
This donut looks very deceiving. Why? Because it’s small, not a glazed doughnut or jelly filled donut, but when we look at the nutritional information it’s just a bad as donuts twice its size. Check this out

If I’m going to splurge my calorie count on such a guilty treat, then I’m going to want the biggest baddest donut there is for the same amount of gut-busting sugar and carb-loaded doughnut as Honey Dew Butternut Donut, but that’s just me.
Top Pot Doughnuts
Top Pot Doughnuts Maple Bar
Blending new with the old is what Top Pot Doughnuts are about. So much so they claim their donut recipes are from the 1920s. Which is kinda had us thinking? Back then a majority of people were fitter then we are now, what happened? After looking at the nutritional content for their Maple Doughnut we see why.
Maybe 100 years later they modified the recipe a bit, but we still hear they’re really good! We’ll let you decide if it’s worth the splurge.
Here’s Top Pot Doughnuts Maple Bar macro count;
Total Fat: 24g
Not sure about you but that’s way too many carbs for me not to feel guilty and wanna go for a 3k run just to burn it off. But hey, you only live once right!
Tim Hortons Honey Cruller Donut
We’ve actually never heard of this donut shop but it seems to be pretty popular and has a raving fan base. We just hope they’re consuming these sinful treats in moderation.
Tim Hortons Honey Cruller Doughnut looks and sounds tempting but after reviewing what's in them and the sugar count, in my opinion, it doesn’t seem so tempting anymore.
To each is on though. You may find that it’s not that bad compared to the other doughnuts on the list.
One last Doughnut on our list of “How Many Calories Are in a Donut” I wanted to save this one for last because it was one that I personally have never tried nor heard of before until I research the content for this article.
And maybe I should’ve tried it before I did the research for this article because after reviewing this donut there is absolutely no way I will be giving it a try now! Lol.
